International Polish Karting Championships - 5th and 6th Round - Wallrav Race Center Track

After one month brake, onto WALLRAV RACE CENTER track, Polish International Karting Championships are coming back. The temperature were over 30 degrees. To get the Polish Champion title, drivers from KF3, KF2, and M60 were participating in 2 races.
3rd of July 2010 certainly wasn’t the best day in Igor’s Walilko career.  During morning time attack, Igor had 4th time, which gave him 4th starting position. In the first final race Walilko immediately got thru and took the lead, but during overtake on a 2nd turn WALLRAV RACING CLUB ward overprimed the pot, because of that he couldn’t keep the pace, finally finishing 2nd.
Next race looked the same after the start, Walilko in seconds “teleported” himself for the lead, but he lost it for evenly riding that day Aleksander Kowalski. Next laps were constant fight between other drivers, who except overtaking Igor had probably other intensions,  pushing Walilko out of the track. But thanks to great experience and skills, Igor calmed down the underbody and started to even the loss. So 13 year old driver from Zielona Góra, come up to the leader for couple of last laps, but it was too late to attack. Finally Igor finished also on 2nd place. Both races won Aleksander Kowalski from “Automobil Club Rzemieślnik”. Igor took the lead in overall classification in Polish Championships in KF3 category. And leads 14 points above Tomasz Grygiel from “Automobil Club Leszczynski”. Last rounds of International Polish Karting Championships will also have place on WALLRAV RACE CENTER in Stary Kisielin.

Igor’s comment to the event:

(...) We planned just 2 starts in Poland, but last weekend left a little disappointment.Despite of taking the lead in general classification I was twice 2nd on finish, and I messed up time attack once again. That’s why I would like to make my best to start in the last round and take all the points. (…)

Rafał’s Waliłko comment to the event:

(…) Congratulation to the winner, he deserved it. It wasn’t as we wanted it to be, but this is sport. On our track probably the last 2 rounds of IPKC will take place, and it will be most interesting during this season. As an organizer we will try to get set a lot of surprises which will cap the Karting season in our country.(…)
